After suffering a head injury at the Belmont Stakes, Sports Photographer Janey O'Neil hallucinates of a world where women are groomed and trained like racehorses to compete for men. In her illusion, her boyfriend bets on her win while continuing to play other woman. Frustrated with the race, Janey decides to wage her own race of men to contend for her favor and gives her boyfriend some well-needed competition.
The gambling for love soon becomes meaningless when she learns of the Wild Horses that have strayed, escaped, or set free from the race. These Wild Horses roam free of love's conditions, expectations and ultimatums.

This book is a real eye-opener for a man. It is a behind the lines look at maintaining relationships between men and women. It shows the competition and pressure women put on themselves and each other to find the "right" man for a relationship. It also exposes the superficiality that both sexes exhibit in struggling with relationships.
This was a fast read as once you get started you want to read right to the end. It reminds me of The Hunger games only in the dating world! It was very witty and well written. I very much enjoyed this book! The characters were colorful and believable. An overall good read!
This book was very different, the story did not keep me entertained. Feel like i wasted time reading this book because it was a completely worthless story that never had an entertaining moment in it.

Congratulations to Ms Ott for this smart and entertaining read!
A combination of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Sex in the City", this story had me racing to finish -- with characters reminding me of people I've met and moments of laugh-out-loud imagery. The comparison of "winning in relationships" to an actual horse race was woven seemlessly from beginning to end, and Ms Ott's main character's viewpoint rang true repeatedly and definitely gave food for thought. Highly recommended!
